Big Blue Moma has been on a remarkable journey of importing Fair Trade Ghanaian Baskets, known as Bolga Baskets. Their dedication to ethical practices has enabled them to support the talented artisans of Bolgatanga, making a positive impact in the process. But their passion doesn't stop there. As makers themselves, they harness the beauty of Ghanaian textiles and beads to create one-of-a-kind home decor items and jewelry. Their artistic vision breathes new life into these materials, infusing them with a unique charm that captivates the senses. Big Blue Moma’s commitment to authenticity is unwavering. They establish direct connections with the basket makers in Bolgatanga, ensuring that every piece they acquire is genuine and ethically sourced. By cutting out middlemen, they empower the artisans and maintain the highest standards of quality. The fruits of their labor reach far and wide.

For each item purchased, 2 trees will be planted by Eden Reforestation Projects, a nonprofit NGO that works in developing countries to rebuild natural landscapes destroyed by deforestation. Shipping options for products by Powered by People are limited to Economy or Standard and those products will ship separately from others.

1. Saltern gladly accepts returns of unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged or defective merchandise for refund or exchange within 30 days of the original purchase. If you choose to return your item for a refund, we will deduct a $7.95 return shipping fee from your refund. If you choose to exchange your item or purchase a new item, the return shipping fee will be waived.
2. All tags must be attached, and merchandise must be returned in original packaging and its original condition.
3. Returned merchandise must be received by Saltern within 30 days to receive a refund or exchange.
4. Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment unless we agree to credit a different payment type.
5. Requests to return or exchange merchandise received as a gift must be accompanied by a gift receipt.
6. Merchandise marked final sale or not meeting the requirements stated herein cannot be returned or exchanged. Merchandise altered by smoke, perfume, lotion, oil, fragrance, detergent, deodorant or any other scent altering substance cannot be returned or exchanged.
7. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

9. For the return or exchange of all other merchandise, customers are responsible for return shipping to Saltern.
